It was introduced many years ago and remained the best-selling trademark in the category. It’s also the brand that is generally responsible for spreading bidet seat popularity worldwide.

The C100 seat has a universal cotton white body, which is made of super-sturdy plastic. You can use this seat independently from the body weight and complexion.

You can pick from two size options: elongated (19.25 x 18.81 x 7.38 inches) and round (19.25 x 16.81 x 7.38 inches). Both models have the same standard 5.5-inch distance between the mounting holes.

Although this one is considered an entry-level heated bidet seat, the feature set is quite impressive. First, it’s a convenient warm seat that can instantly get warm when you open the lid. It features 3 standard temperature settings, and I can say that all of them feel comfortable and not too hot at the top setting.

The bidet module delivers the full-cycle cleaning experience. It includes a dual-action spray nozzle with oscillation and a self-cleaning mode. When the main job is done, you can dry your skin with a gentle air stream. The temperature range is between 32 ̊F and 104 ̊F, so there’s no need to worry about overheating.

You can also order a biscuit color variation to match the room design. The seat is lightweight (4.6lbs) and fits elongated (20 x 14 x 3 inches) and round (18.5 x 14 x 3 inches) bowls with 5.5 or 6.25-inch bolt holes. Mind that the weight limitation for this model is 320lbs.

This basic heated seat features an energy-efficient 55-watt heater. It consumes as much electricity as an average lightbulb. You can apply 4 heater settings to toggle the temperature up to 104°F. At this point, the Brondell heater is a bit more flexible than the similar items by other brands.

It also has a stainless steel panel with a small set of indicators hidden under a black transparent plastic cover.

This design is definitely not basic but fits most bathroom interiors. Unfortunately, there’s only one color option for this premium item. The dimensions are 21 x 15.6 x 9 inches for the elongated and 20 x 15.6 x 9 inches for the round model. The distance between the mounting holes is 5,5” and 7,5”, depending on the version.

The seat heat provides instant warming when you open the lid and doesn’t consume electricity in the energy-saving mode. To adjust the temperature, you can use a straightforward remote and switch between 4 modes to pick the coziest temperature.

The bidet module is quite compact and includes a durable stainless-steel nozzle with triple action and variable cleaning regimes, including posterior, feminine, and vortex wash.

This high-end device is available for $620-$670, which is more expensive than entry-level and medium models like Toto C100 but still not as expensive as most options with the same feature sets and materials.

Both SB-1000 heated toilet seat elongated and round models are surprisingly affordable when you look at their feature sets. The heated seat lets you switch between 3 temperature modes, and the skin safety sensor will disable extra heating as soon as you sit for electricity saving and natural feeling.

The look of this item is quite good. It’s very similar to the Toto C100, but it’s not as sleek as the competitor because of the black panel on the left. It just looks like an unfinished piece. However, I’d not care about it a lot as the price for the item is relatively low and varies from $240 to $270. The year-long warranty isn’t very helpful, though.

If you want a cheap bidet module, it’s built into this seat and includes all the needed features, including a water spray with oscillation and posterior, feminine, and turbo modes, and a heated air dryer. Unfortunately, there’s no deodorizer, lighting, children mode, and other nice add-ons. But can we wish all that for the price?

5. Bio Bidet BB-600 – Fine Heated Seat with a Dual-Nozzle Bidet

One more item by Bio Bidet deserved a place on my listing due to its quality and rare features. This model has a standard design, which is quite universal and fits standard elongated (15 x 5.6 x 16.5 inches) and round (19.2 x 15 x 5.62 inches) bowls.

The control panel is placed on the right, and it’s quite easy to reach. It lets you quickly switch between the 3 seat temperature presets, adjust water direction and temperature, and air dryer temperature/pressure (I haven’t noticed any air pressure differences, though).

You can choose from several bubble-infused oscillating and pulsating stream types, which is very convenient if you need a solution for the entire family.

Due to the unique double nozzle, you can have posterior, feminine, and kid wash more comfortably and hygienically. Fortunately, the installation process for a dual-nozzle system doesn’t have any differences. The 5.5-5.7-inch gap between the mounting holes is universal.

6. BEMIS Radiance Nightlight – High-Quality Basic Toilet Seat Warmers

Here’s one more option to make a toilet with a heated seat with a minimal budget. Bemis (Bio Bidet founder) designed this heated seat with the idea to make a never-loosening seat. The model was introduced in 2019, so I couldn’t check the “never-loosening” claim, but it looks exceptionally sturdy to me anyway.

The heater works very well, but I don’t quite understand why the engineers decided to make such a small difference between the 3 heater settings. You can change the temperature only from 97°F to 104°F. It’s not a huge flaw, but you should know about it anyway.

The second feature is the blue nightlight, and it’s totally the same as the one installed in the Brondell seat. I also like the clips that hold the seat as they make it a one-second deal to remove the whole thing for cleaning. At the same time, the item holds tightly and doesn’t wiggle on the bolts.

Mount configuration & installation difficulty

Although mounting holes on the vast majority of toilet seats look absolutely the same, they can be of different sizes or placed at different distances one from another.

You need to measure the diameter of the holes and the distance between them on your toilet and look for a replacement that has the same sizing.

The installation difficulty is usually the same for all heated seats. Basic models require only two bolts, while heated bidet seats also need a water supply connection. Both are easy to install for a householder with beginner-level skills.

Shape

Depending on the bowl rim type of your toilet, you should look for a round or elongated heated seat. Luckily, most manufacturers offer the same heated seat models in both shapes without price differences.

Just don’t forget to order the one that fits your toilet right. It may also be important to measure the rim width to avoid those models that are too large or too small. Most of them are standard, so it’s a “just in case” precaution.

Power cord length

Most heated seats are corded and require an outlet nearby. If it’s not very close to the tank, you should measure the distance from an outlet to the seat mounting to see how long the cord should be.

In most cases, the warranty lasts from 1 to 3 years and covers those cases when a device stops working due to the manufacturer’s fault. No matter how expensive your seat is, nobody will repair or replace it if you break it yourself. Still, premium models must offer the best warranty service, so make sure to check it and get your warranty activated.

How to install heated toilet seat

It’s very easy to replace a toilet seat and, fortunately, the process with average heated seats doesn’t differ at all. You only have to remove the old seat and attach the new one according to the manufacturer recommendations. The whole process requires a single wrench and takes less than 5 minutes.

If you prefer to install a bidet seat, be ready to do some basic plumbing work with a couple of wrenches.

You will need to connect the water supply to the seat, which requires the installation of a T-valve on the toilet’s water supply pipe.

Don’t forget to turn off the water supply of the toilet and drain the tank completely.

Use rugs to remove the residual water from the bottom and lay down some rugs under the work area to avoid water from splashing around when you disconnect the supply pipe.
